Tempo di Lettura: 2 minuti

Dopo la collaborazione con etichette importanti (Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Goddess Music) il nuovo ep sancisce la collaborazione Voitax. Ringraziamo il leccese Ludovico Esposito per queste notizie, complimentandoci con Sud Sonico Associazione Culturale e We Care PR.
Eclecticism is the keyword when it comes to the musical taste of Luz1e. Mostly known for her spirited and soulful New York House she has made herself a name in the realms of fast paced breaks and Techno. Either way, Luz1e brings together everything that has that certain punchy power to it. Born and raised in Frankfurt am Main she started to get into electronic music at age 16 when her brother introduced her to early Chicago and New York House with the likes of Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard and Co. .. It didn’t take her long to travel a couple of miles west where she discovered the diversity of Detroit’s electronic music culture with sonic influences from Drexciya, Robert Hood, Octave One and others. She values authenticity and integrity which translates into her taste in music as well. Knowing where the music comes from and acknowledging its roots is a key approach in discovering and selecting her music. That’s why her sets build a bridge between classic tunes and new sounds combining them into a notion of futuretroism..

The opener Transition lays down Luz1e’s law, featuring headstrong drum work, matched with equally menacing bass arpeggios. If the theme of apocalypticism wasn’t obvious enough from the opening track’s looming pads, it will become apparent with Electronic Warfare. Served up on electro’s trustworthy chassis, we watch the distorted arpeggios unfold as the tension of the pads guide us to a dystopian finale. On the flip, the title track Radical Optimism uses shrill pad pressure to break the track’s dreamy opening sequence – as the modulating bass provides plenty of frequencies for the dance floor. The closing track, Emotional Intelligence provides a candid looking glass into the producer’s musical influences. Luz1e’s knack for emotive pads furnish the track’s uplifting structure with class, as breaks and bass deliver us to a tender climax.
